The Symposium explored issues concerning
aspects of freshwater and marine systems and their
sediments. The symposium consisted of five themes, which
integrate a number of disciplines, and embrace a
wide range of research environments.
There were 155 registered participants from 35 countries. Out of
272 submitted abstracts there were 253 symposium contributions, which were divided into
five topics, with 132 oral and 121 poster presentations.
