Call for Abstracts and Papers

Participants wishing to present their research findings should submit an abstract for the consideration of the Scientific Committee. Abstracts addressing the symposium themes are currently being solicited. Either a short abstract of 300 words or an extended abstracts of approximately 3 pages must be submitted in electronic form to the conference organizer. Please use one of the template files and send your abstract by e-mail to: iasws@ijs.si

 

The abstract deadline is December 31, 2004. Authors will receive confirmation of acceptance of their abstracts by March 1, 2005. Only abstracts of authors who have paid their registration fees by May 1, 2005 will be scheduled in the final programme, printed in the Book of abstracts and posted to the Symposium website.

Authors wishing to have their papers reviewed for publication in a special issue of Water, Air and Soil Pollution will be required to submit complete manuscripts by the end of the Symposium (September 2, 2005). Please, see the details regarding the format of the manuscripts. All papers will bethen peer reviewed with approximately 50 papers selected for the special issue of Water, Air and Soil Pollution. Symposium registrants will receive this special issue as part of the registration fee.

 

Book of abstracts

All accepted abstracts will be published in a special issue of RMZ - Materials and Geoenvironment (not peer-reviewed), which will be distributed to all participants with full registration at the symposium.

 

Language of the Symposium

The official language for the Symposium will be English which will be used for all presentations and printed material.

 

Presentation formats

The Symposium programme will consist both of plenary and parallel sessions for oral presentations and poster sessions. Oral and poster contributions will carry equal scientific status, and posters will have a truly vital role in fostering discussions among participants.

 

Oral presentations will be limited to 15 minutes, allowing additional 5 minutes for discussion. Please submit your Power Point presentation on a CD or Flash drive or 1.44 floppy at the registration desk one day before presentation.

 

Posters should be prepared to fit within 95 cm (width) x 110 cm (height) in the portrait format. You are kindly asked to post your presentation on the morning of your session and take them off by the evening the same day.
