The Nuclear
Training Centre (ICJT) is part of the Jožef Stefan
Institute, the leading research institution in Slovenia. The
main premises of the Institute are in the Vič district of
Ljubljana. The ICJT building
is at the Podgorica Reactor Centre,
about 20 km north-east of Ljubljana. There are about 700
people employed at the Institute, 100 of them at the Reactor Centre.
Our main
activity is promotion of knowledge about the use of nuclear energy. We try to cover all aspects of
the peaceful use
of nuclear energy and ionizing radiation.
Other Departments and Activities at the
Reactor Centre
The
first and only research reactor in Slovenia. It has 250 kW
of power and was built in 1966. It is used for
research, operator
training and production of isotopes.
